New Layout

I am starting this new year’s newsletter with a new layout that brings back a bit of an acknowledgment of our past newsletters that we called The Kanga Rotarian. Its taken longer than I hoped but I’m not surprised. I’ll add a bit more refinement next week. I hope you like it

Changeover

Well done to Sainab Sheikh who has finished a very productive year and now venturing onto a new year of taking the reins again. You will see in the list of club presidents on the left we have had very few Rotarians hold the role of President more than once and Sainab is our first to hold the position in consecutive years. Given the club has been going for 54 years that is quite a feat though we know in many other clubs it is almost a common event.

Well done to Herbson Singo who has taken on the role of President-Elect.

You will note in the list of Rotary Leaders above that our club is one that has completed the “Female Leadership Quadrella”

Female International President, Female Zone Leader, Female District Governor, and Female club President. It was good to have so many guests at the club including District Governor Elect, Ron Payne and his wife Deb.

Other, guests included other newly inducted Presidents being Philip Archer – Southbank, Shradda Sharma – Flemington-Kensington and Deb Sloggett – East Keilor.

Naturally, the highlight of the night is the induction of the incoming President, Sainab Sh, Sainab Sheikh. But another highlight before she was inducted was inducting Reshmar Manandhar as a new member.

Soon after that there was another segment that was the presentation of Paul Harris recognition Certificates. I particularly enjoyed this part as I was one of the recipients.
